How to begin a blog…

Really, there is no set way. Breaking the ice is the hardest thing to do, and really, I don’t even know why I am even typing this right now. It’s complete utter crap. But hey - I have to start somewhere!

Maybe I should describe what I hope to do with this… such as random posts, musings, thoughts on news, etc, as well as keeping it as an online, up-to-date portfolio of my own. Stupid? Perhaps.

I’m still sorting it out… I’m not sure how much I like wordpress really… I mean, its got some great features, but I don’t completely understand how to skin it, so there’s one limitation already for me. I don’t even know if I could be bothered to try and skin it. I could quite easily design my own layout and build my own blogging system - i’ll admit it; it won’t compare anywhere near enough to wordpress to even warrant it being compared.

Where does this leave me? Not wanting to design a layout in fear that I won’t be able to use it to successfully skin wordpress. It’s lame, i know. Wait. No. It’s perfectly reasonable. Of course I can be scared to go to the effort of designing and awesome layout and risk not being able to completely fit it into wordpress.
